Character Profile

Piccolo began as one of Goku's most dangerous enemies — the reincarnation of the Demon King Piccolo, born specifically to kill Goku. After losing to Goku at the World Tournament, he trained in the wilderness and returned as a mentor to Gohan. That choice defined him. Piccolo sacrificed himself twice for Gohan — first against Nappa, later against Frieza's beam. He became more father to Gohan than trainer. In Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero, he finally received his own power-up: Orange Piccolo, a form unlocked by Shenron that makes him the most powerful Namekian in history.
