Overview
Dragon Ball follows the adventures of Son Goku from childhood through early adulthood, as he trains in martial arts and explores the world in search of seven magical orbs known as Dragon Balls, which summon a wish-granting dragon when gathered.
The original Dragon Ball is lighter in tone than DBZ — more adventure than battle, more comedy than drama. But it establishes everything: Goku's character, the martial arts world, the World Tournaments, Master Roshi, Krillin, Bulma, Yamcha, and eventually Piccolo and the foundations of the power system.
