Character Profile

The Prince of all Saiyans. Vegeta arrived on Earth with Nappa as an antagonist intent on obtaining the Dragon Balls and defeating Goku. He lost that fight, barely escaped with his life, and spent the rest of his career trying to surpass the "low-class warrior" who somehow keeps outpacing him. What makes Vegeta compelling is his arc — from cold-blooded villain to reluctant anti-hero to devoted father and husband. His pride is simultaneously his greatest weakness and his greatest strength. Ultra Ego, his achieved form during the Granolah arc, literally draws power from receiving damage — a form that could only be developed by someone with Vegeta's psychology.
