Dragon Ball has been running since 1984. With 40+ years of content, there are bound to be some... inconsistencies. But some of these "plot holes" actually have explanations if you think hard enough.

Frieza says Namek will explode in 5 minutes. They then fight for like 60 minutes of screen time. The fan theory? They're moving so fast that from their perspective, time is dilated. At light speed, 5 minutes could feel like an hour. Is this what Toriyama intended? Probably not. But it works.
<strong>Where Did the Saiyan Tails Go?</strong>
Goten and Trunks are born without tails despite Saiyans being born with them. Some fans theorize that after generations of living in Earth's atmosphere and interbreeding with humans, the tail gene became recessive. Others say Toriyama just forgot. (He admitted to forgetting things regularly.)

Master Roshi destroyed the moon in Dragon Ball. It showed up again in DBZ. Explanation: Kami agreed to restore it after the Great Ape threat was contained. This one actually has a canonical answer buried in supplementary material.

- <strong>Goku Could Have Beaten Cell:</strong> He forfeited not because he couldn't win, but because he was bored and wanted to see Gohan's potential. Cold? Very. In-character? Absolutely.
- <strong>Kaio-ken Caused the Heart Disease:</strong> The strain on Goku's body from repeated Kaio-ken use is what triggered the heart virus in Future Trunks' timeline. The medicine from the future is essentially a cure for the physical damage Kaio-ken inflicts.
